The Big Orange Honors the Red, White and Blue
On Thursday, Nov. 11, Schneider National, who was named to G.I. Jobs
magazine's list of military-friendly employers for the fifth consecutive
year, held a Sound the Horn ceremony to honor U.S. and Company Veterans.
Mike Hinz, vice president and retired Reservist, addressed Schneider's
customer service area, noting that 43 Schneider associates are currently
deployed and over 2,300 are veterans. In their honor, the Schneider National
Foundation made a $5,000 charitable donation to the Fischer House Foundation
that provides "homes away from home" for military families while their loved
ones are being treated at military hospitals.
Shown in the attached picture: The Naval Operating Support Center from Green
Bay, Wis., presents the colors while associates hold "Thank you for your
service" signs during Schneider National's Veterans Day Sound the Horn
celebration (where an in house, semi horn is blown throughout the building
during special events.)
Please let me know if you'd like to learn more about Schneider National's
programs for members of the military.
