Driver finds what he's looking for at RT&T
In 2004, driver Jerry Kohn was looking for something different in the lease-purchase arena. Having previous experience with a lease purchase at a Minnesota company, Kohn knew what he liked and disliked. Kohn found RT&T and started asking questions. Passing the test, RT&T entered into a lease purchase agreement with Kohn in 2004 on a red Freightliner Classic. In 2007, Kohn successfully completed his first lease purchase, and he is currently working on his second lease purchase.

Changing of the guard at Trucker Buddy
Three long-time Trucker Buddy board members ended their terms and moved to the Trucker Buddy Advisory Council. Mike Pennington, Greg Shipman and Don Nerhring completed two four-year terms and have been replaced by Brad Williamson (Detroit Diesel), Heather DeBaillie (CAT Scale) and Steve Gundale (Dart Transit). “Mike, Greg and Don have done a tremendous job as board members these last eight years, and since they have so much equity within the program, I'm thrilled that they accepted the challenge to help us on our Advisory Council,” says Executive Director Randy Schwartzenburg. “I'm also excited that Brad, Heather and Steve accepted board positions. Their leadership will help us continue to grow and improve Trucker Buddy.”

Healthy, handy habits

There are some things you can do to begin making fitness a daily habit, kind of like combing your hair or brushing your teeth:
• Use a rocking chair instead of a regular chair.
• Find something you like to do that requires repetitious movement.
• Park in the farthest part of the parking lot and walk to your destination.
ʉۢ Breathe deeply and forcefully several times a day to aerate your entire lung.
*Go dancing, particularly square dancing, for fun and good exercise for all ages.

Some start-up exercise tips:
• Exercise regularly, from three to five times each week.
• Pick a partner or exercise buddy and stay motivated.
• Plan ahead and set aside a regular exercise time.
• Keep track of your exercise program and be proud of yourself every day that you do it.
• Update your friends and family on your successes.
• Train, don't strain. Start slowly and gradually build up.
• Watch your diet and eat wisely.
