National Carriers, Inc. Announces 2009 Driver of the Year

LIBERAL, KS - National Carriers, Inc. announced Juan Cadenas, known as "Magic Don Juan" to his friends and coworkers, as its 2009 Driver of the Year. Cadenas was joined by his wife, Beatriz Ruiz, and their four children as he received the honor at NCI’s annual Driver of the Year Banquet held Friday, June 25 in Liberal, Kansas.

Cadenas joined the NCI Leasing Program in 2007 after meeting a driver who recommended National Carriers as a great driving opportunity. Cadenas currently drives for NCI’s refrigerated fleet in the West Coast/Brawley region.

"My favorite thing about NCI is that the people treat you like family and they watch out for one another," Cadenas said.

For newcomers to the trucking industry, Cadenas’ advice is to work hard, don’t give up, and you will achieve your goal.

NCI’s Driver-of -the-Year program is designed to commend drivers who consistently perform above par. Recipients of the Driver-of-the-Year awards receive a bonus check, as well as the respect of their colleagues.
